Battle of Hegra Fortress - Casualties

Casualties

Six Norwegian soldiers were killed in action during the battle, with 14 wounded. All the Norwegian fatalities occurred during the first two days of the fighting. In the first years after World War II, Norwegian estimates of the number of Germans casualties were exaggerated, some spoke of up to 1,100 dead or wounded. Later research has however led to a somewhat lower number, at about 150 to 200 Wehrmacht soldiers KIA and WIA at Hegra.
