During the Second Jacobite Rising, the Battle of Falkirk Muir (Scottish Gaelic: Blàr na h-Eaglaise Brice) was the last noteworthy Jacobite success. The battlefield has been inventoried and protected by Historic Scotland under the Historic Environment (Amendment) Act 2011.
