Hydroelectric Power Plan
The central Saint-Narcisse is the only hydroelectric power plant ever built on the Batiscan river. However, two power plants have been built on the tributaries of the river Batiscan:
- Plant "Electric Kabibouska" erected on the Rivière des Envies, Proulxville was serving the village of Saint-Séverin and the inhabitants of Saint-Tite;
- The power plant fitted to the dam of "Chutes de la Marmite" on the Rivière-à-Pierre, upstream of "Lake Farm" (said "Deposit lake") northeast of the village. This plant served the town of Rivière-à-Pierre, especially industries.

Famous quotes containing the words power and/or plan:
“For do but note a wild and wanton herd
Or race of youthful and unhandled colts
Fetching mad bounds, bellowing and neighing loud,
Which is the hot condition of their blood;
If they but hear perchance a trumpet sound,
Or any air of music touch their ears,
You shall perceive them make a mutual stand,
Their savage eyes turned to a modest gaze
By the sweet power of music.”
—William Shake{peare (15641616)
“Max Detweiler: I get a fiendish delight thinking of you as the mother of seven. How do you plan to do it?
The Baroness: Darling, havent you heard of a delightful little thing called boarding school?”
—Ernest Lehman (b. 1920)
