Barry Nicholson (born 24 August 1978 in Dumfries, Scotland) is a Scottish professional footballer who usually plays in midfield. After starting his professional career with Rangers he has since played over 100 games for each of Dunfermline Athletic, Aberdeen and Preston North End. he has three full caps for Scotland. Nicholson currently plays as a midfielder for Fleetwood Town in League 2, the fourth tier of the English football pyramid.
