She is married to Ken Follett. They own two properties in London, one in Knebworth, a property in Cape Town and a holiday home in Antigua. She has two daughters. Since leaving Parliament she has become CEO of his company, who have offices in Stevenage.
Follett and her husband have been referred to as champagne socialists in the media due to the contrast between their political views and their extravagant lifestyle.
