Early Life and Background

Bapu was born in Narsapur, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India in a Niyogi family. He graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Madras in 1955. He worked as a political cartoonist for the newspaper Andhra Patrika in 1945.
