Bandar Muadzam Shah lends its name to the State electoral constituency of Muadzam Shah, represented by Deputy Minister Datuk Maznah Mazlan from Barisan Nasional. Its representative to the Malaysian Parliament is Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis, also from Barisan Nasional.
