Banbury Area Sixth Form
As of 2003, the sixth from contained 335 students from around the Banbury area. It offers 26 A-Level courses as well as the option to resit Maths and English at GCSE.
The sixth from recently underwent extensive development, and it now contains a common room, study area and computer suite for use by all sixth formers, all built into one new wing.
The students play an active role in the way that the sixth form is run in the form of a student council, led by two principal students with two representatives from each tutor group. They organise social events such as the end of year prom and charity events, most recently the Children in Need appeal.

Famous quotes containing the words area, sixth and/or form:
“Prestige is the shadow of money and power. Where these are, there it is. Like the national market for soap or automobiles and the enlarged arena of federal power, the national cash-in area for prestige has grown, slowly being consolidated into a truly national system.”
—C. Wright Mills (19161962)
“The real dividing line between early childhood and middle childhood is not between the fifth year and the sixth yearit is more nearly when children are about seven or eight, moving on toward nine. Building the barrier at six has no psychological basis. It has come about only from the historic-economic-political fact that the age of six is when we provide schools for all.”
—James L. Hymes, Jr. (20th century)
“Reason transformed into prejudice is the worst form of prejudice, because reason is the only instrument for liberation from prejudice.”
—Allan Bloom (19301992)
