History
This town was very famous for its cattle market in the region. The market still exists with name "Bhaisa Pasra". This market was found by Marwadi traders who used to bring and sell their cattle here. They later on settled here only. Here they built lakes, temples and wells. Some of them are still existing today. Ramsagar Talab, Mawli Mata Mandir and Hanuman Mandir reveals their presence. .
Purani Basti or the area adjoining the Mawli Mata Mandir is the oldest area of the town.
