Baby Don't Cry (INXS Song)
"Baby Don't Cry" is the second single from the 1992 album Welcome to Wherever You Are by INXS. It was written by Andrew Farriss. Farriss has said it was written about his daughter Grace and how he missed his young child whilst touring. The single was released only in Europe (UK) and Australia.
Incorporating the 60 piece Australian Concert Orchestra, the song hit #20 on the UK and #30 on the ARIA charts.
In November, the band won one of two Australian Music Awards for Best Best Video for 'Baby Don't Cry', the other for Best Australian Band.

Famous quotes containing the words baby and/or cry:
“It is a pleasant thing to reflect upon, and furnishes a complete answer to those who contend for the gradual degeneration of the human species, that every baby born into the world is a finer one than the last.”
—Charles Dickens (18121870)
“This socialism will develop in all its phases until it reaches its own extremes and absurdities. Then once again a cry of denial will break from the titanic chest of the revolutionary minority and again a mortal struggle will begin, in which socialism will play the role of contemporary conservatism and will be overwhelmed in the subsequent revolution, as yet unknown to us.”
—Alexander Herzen (18121870)
