Famous quotes containing the words trails and/or activities:

Life ... is not simply a series of exciting new ventures. The future is not always a whole new ball game. There tends to be unfinished business. One trails all sorts of things around with one, things that simply won’t be got rid of.
    Anita Brookner (b. 1928)

Gossip and joking often appear together: when we gossip we usually tell jokes and when we are joking we often gossip as well.
Aaron Ben-Ze’Ev, Israeli philosopher. “The Vindication of Gossip,” Good Gossip, University Press of Kansas (1994)
