The live-action film The Avengers was released on May 4, 2012, where Nick Fury recruited Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye to form the Avengers to fight Loki and his attack against Earth. It set the record for the biggest opening debut in North America, with a weekend gross of $207.4 million.
