Atomic (song) - Music Video

Music Video

The music video depicts the band performing on stage at what looks like a post-nuclear war nightclub in which Debbie Harry is famously wearing a bin liner as a futuristic costume. Footage of a horseman and an atomic explosion are also intercut. Model Gia Carangi (a strong supporter of the band) made a guest appearance in the music video; she can be seen in various scenes.

Famous quotes containing the words music and/or video:

If music be the food of love, play on,
Give me excess of it that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken and so die.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

It is among the ranks of school-age children, those six- to twelve-year-olds who once avidly filled their free moments with childhood play, that the greatest change is evident. In the place of traditional, sometimes ancient childhood games that were still popular a generation ago, in the place of fantasy and make- believe play . . . today’s children have substituted television viewing and, most recently, video games.
    Marie Winn (20th century)
