Tulu Nadu
The demand for creation of a separate state of Tulu Nadu, a prosperous region between Karnataka and Kerala, is based on having a different language (Tulu). Tuluvas are culturally distinct from the rest of Karnataka. Both the Karnataka and Kerala state governments have created Tulu Sahitya Academy- for the preservation and promotion of Tuluva culture, to quell separatis demands and to counter the accusation of cultural neglect.Tulu people are famous almost everywhere and have their own food and culture and languages of which Tulu is the primary language. Tulu script is not used officially leading to dissent among its people .if Tulunadu is to be made a state - it has to be carved out of two districts of Karnataka and one district of Kerala .The phrase TuluNadu is not a new or unheard one and has been in use since times immemorial.
