Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards

Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards are a series of recognition awards given by a Kuala Lumpur-based regional NGO, Enterprise Asia.

Started as an initiative to identify and recognise outstanding entrepreneurship, the Awards have now evolved into a credible, highly desired award in Asia Pacific. Winners are torch bearers for entrepreneurship in their respective countries, and are invited to be part of the annual Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Forum - the first of which is slotted to be held in Qingdao, China in 2010.

First held in Malaysia, APEA recognises business leaders for outstanding entrepreneurship as judged by an independent judging panel. These Awards are accorded to the exemplary few who have shown outstanding performance in the communication of their visions, brands and strategies. The objective is to enhance the awareness of the importance of entrepreneurship amongst the general public and in turn, stimulate the growth of local and regional brands and enterprises both locally and regionally.

Famous quotes containing the words asia and/or pacific:

Incarnate devil in a talking snake,
The central plains of Asia in his garden,
In shaping-time the circle stung awake,
In shapes of sin forked out the bearded apple....
    Dylan Thomas (1914–1953)

I need not tell you of the inadequacy of the American shipping marine on the Pacific Coast.... For this reason it seems to me that there is no subject to which Congress can better devote its attention in the coming session than the passage of a bill which shall encourage our merchant marine in such a way as to establish American lines directly between New York and the eastern ports and South American ports, and both our Pacific Coast ports and the Orient and the Philippines.
    William Howard Taft (1857–1930)
