Asia-Pacific Network Information Centre - Open Policy Meetings

Open Policy Meetings

Each year, APNIC conducts two open policy meetings. These give the community the chance to come together for policy development, decision-making, education, information sharing, and networking - both professional and social. The first Open Policy Meeting of each year is held as a conference track of the Asia Pacific Regional Internet Conference on Operational Technologies (APRICOT), and the second is held as a standalone meeting. The meetings are held in various locations throughout the Asia Pacific and often involve cultural elements of the host economy.

Famous quotes containing the words open, policy and/or meetings:

This is peace with dignity. This is peace with commitment. This is our gift to our peoples and the generations to come.... It will be real, as we open our hearts and minds to each other.
    Bin Talal Hussein (b. 1935)

There is absolutely no evidence—developmental or otherwise—to support separating twins in school as a general policy. . . . The best policy seems to be no policy at all, which means that each year, you and your children need to decide what will work best for you.
    Pamela Patrick Novotny (20th century)

I have been reporting club meetings for four years and I am tired of hearing reviews of the books I was brought up on. I am tired of amateur performances at occasions announced to be for purposes either of enjoyment or improvement. I am tired of suffering under the pretense of acquiring culture. I am tired of hearing the word “culture” used so wantonly. I am tired of essays that let no guilty author escape quotation.
Josephine Woodward, U.S. author. As quoted in Everyone Was Brave, ch. 3, by William L. O’Neill (1969)
