Aryan Games

The Aryan Games were a proposed replacement for the Olympic Games by the National Socialist (Nazi) government of the Third Reich, to be housed permanently in Nuremberg at the German Stadium that was designed, but never built, by Albert Speer. Adolf Hitler told Albert Speer that after the German Stadium was built, there would be no more Olympic Games, only the Aryan Games.

Famous quotes containing the word games:

In 1600 the specialization of games and pastimes did not extend beyond infancy; after the age of three or four it decreased and disappeared. From then on the child played the same games as the adult, either with other children or with adults. . . . Conversely, adults used to play games which today only children play.
