Arthur Beresford Pite - The Pite Collection

The Pite Collection

Outside of the RIBA, Jeane Trend-Hill owns possibly the largest collection of Pite memorabilia including slides of his early work, influences, travels and drawings, an extensive collection of photographs of his many commissions and letters in his own handwriting, which he sent from the Royal College of Art on 27 July 1917. The collection can be viewed by appointment only, details via http://abpite.silent-cities.com.

Famous quotes containing the word collection:

The Nature of Familiar Letters, written, as it were, to the Moment, while the Heart is agitated by Hopes and Fears, on Events undecided, must plead an Excuse for the Bulk of a Collection of this Kind. Mere Facts and Characters might be comprised in a much smaller Compass: But, would they be equally interesting?
    Samuel Richardson (1689–1761)
