Artarmon Railway Station - Service

Service

The station is served by four trains per hour most of the time, with additional trains at peak hours (with trains running up to five minutes apart). Originally, not all trains on the North Shore Line stopped at Artarmon, with some "fast" trains skipping from Chatswood directly to St Leonards and then on to North Sydney. In the 2009 timetable, most trains stop at Artarmon except for three morning peak services. An average of 8660 passengers use the station each weekday making it the 48th busiest station on the network.

Famous quotes containing the word service:

Civilization is a process in the service of Eros, whose purpose is to combine single human individuals, and after that families, then races, peoples and nations, into one great unity, the unity of mankind. Why this has to happen, we do not know; the work of Eros is precisely this.
    Sigmund Freud (1856–1939)

A man’s real faith is never contained in his creed, nor is his creed an article of his faith. The last is never adopted. This it is that permits him to smile ever, and to live even as bravely as he does. And yet he clings anxiously to his creed, as to a straw, thinking that that does him good service because his sheet anchor does not drag.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

It’s 10 p.m. Do you know where your children are?
