Anthony Cunningham

Anthony Cunningham (born 1965) is an Irish former hurler who played as a left corner-forward for the Galway senior hurling team.

Cunningham made his first appearance for the team during the 1984-85 National League and became a regular member of the starting fifteen over the next decade. During that time he won two All-Ireland winners' medals and one National Hurling League winners' medals. He ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on four occasions.

At club level Cunnigham played with the St. Thomas's club.

In retirement from playing Cunningham has become involved in team management and coaching. At club level he has guided St. Brigid's in Roscommon and Garrycastle in Westmeath to respective provincial successes. At inter-county levels Cunningham began as manager of the Roscommon senior hurling team. He is the current manager of the Galway under-21 and senior hurling teams.
