Anshan (Persian: انشان Anšan, modern Tall-i Malyan, northwest of Shiraz, in the Beyza / Ramjerd plain, in the province of Fars in the Zagros mountains, southwestern Iran, was one of the early capitals of Elam, from the 3rd millennium BC.
