Danish Thousand-kroner Bill
Anna and Michael Ancher were featured on the front side of the DKK1000 bill which came into circulation on 25 November 2004 but has subsequently been replaced. The front of the banknote has a double portrait of Anna and Michael Ancher, derived from two 1884 paintings by Peder Severin Krøyer which originally hung on the walls in the dining room at Brøndums Hotel.

Famous quotes containing the word bill:
“The measure discriminates definitely against products which make up what has been universally considered a program of safe farming. The bill upholds as ideals of American farming the men who grow cotton, corn, rice, swine, tobacco, or wheat and nothing else. These are to be given special favors at the expense of the farmer who has toiled for years to build up a constructive farming enterprise to include a variety of crops and livestock.”
—Calvin Coolidge (18721933)
