Famous quotes containing the words involvement in, involvement, cricket and/or associations:

    I recommend limiting one’s involvement in other people’s lives to a pleasantly scant minimum. This may seem too stoical a position in these madly passionate times, but madly passionate people rarely make good on their madly passionate promises.
    Quentin Crisp (b. 1908)

    Quentin Crisp (b. 1908)

    All cries are thin and terse;
    The field has droned the summer’s final mass;
    A cricket like a dwindled hearse
    Crawls from the dry grass.
    Richard Wilbur (b. 1921)

Our minds anywhere, when left to themselves, are always thus busily drawing conclusions from false premises.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
