Angus is a county constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom (at Westminster). It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first-past-the-post voting system.
It was created for the 1997 general election, largely replacing East Angus. It is now a marginal seat between the Scottish National Party and the Conservatives. As a result of boundary changes for the 2005 general election, boundaries are now quite different from those of the Angus Scottish Parliament constituency, which was created in 1999.

Famous quotes containing the word parliament:
“He felt that it would be dull times in Dublin, when they should have no usurping government to abuse, no Saxon Parliament to upbraid, no English laws to ridicule, and no Established Church to curse.”
—Anthony Trollope (18151882)
