Latin American Edition
In Latin America, the Anglican Missal has an edition which is a version of the Anglican American Missal promoted by the Anglican Diocese of the Caribbean and New Granada (Colombia), which is the only version of the Anglican Missal in Spanish. During 1989 the present Archbishop Emeritus of the Anglican Province of Christ the King, Robert S. Morse, as President of the American Church Union that promotes devotion to and use of the Anglican Missal, authorized and encouraged Bishop Victor Manuel Cruz Blanco to translate, propagate and implant application of the Anglican Missal in Latin America.

Famous quotes containing the words latin, american and/or edition:
“Whither goest thou?”
—Bible: New Testament Peter, in John, 13:36.
The words, which are repeated in John 16:5, are best known in the Latin form in which they appear in the Vulgate: Quo vadis? Jesus replies, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards.
“The mystical nature of American consumption accounts for its joylessness. We spend a great deal of time in stores, but if we dont seem to take much pleasure in our buying, its because were engaged in the acts of sacrifice and self-definition. Abashed in the presence of expensive merchandise, we recognize ourselves ... as supplicants admitted to a shrine.”
—Lewis H. Lapham (b. 1935)
“Books have their destinies like men. And their fates, as made by generations of readers, are very different from the destinies foreseen for them by their authors. Gullivers Travels, with a minimum of expurgation, has become a childrens book; a new illustrated edition is produced every Christmas. Thats what comes of saying profound things about humanity in terms of a fairy story.”
—Aldous Huxley (18941963)
