Angewandte Chemie is available by subscription online and in print. It is a hybrid open access journal and authors may choose to pay a fee to make articles available free of charge. Angewandte Chemie provides open access to supporting information. Angewandte enjoys a very high impact rating in part because, unlike other chemistry journals, it publishes both reviews and articles describing original research. Typically, reviews attract high numbers of citations, whereas articles attract fewer.
