Amiga Models and Variants - Unreleased Models

Unreleased Models

Prototypes:

  • A3500: Prototype of the Amiga 3000T, it was housed in a Commodore PC60-III tower case.

Due to management turmoil, some viable Amiga models under development were canceled prior to release:

  • A3000+: Prototyped in 1991, it used the AGA chipset and had an AT&T DSP3210 chip, high-fidelity audio, telephone line interface, and 2.5 Mbit/s RS-485 network port.
  • A1000+: Intermediate in price and features between the A1200 and A3000+, it would have been a detached keyboard system with expansion slots (two Zorro slots, video slot, CPU slot).

Famous quotes containing the word models:

The parents who wish to lead a quiet life I would say: Tell your children that they are very naughty—much naughtier than most children; point to the young people of some acquaintances as models of perfection, and impress your own children with a deep sense of their own inferiority. You carry so many more guns than they do that they cannot fight you. This is called moral influence and it will enable you to bounce them as much as you please.
    Samuel Butler (1835–1902)
