America's Game: The Super Bowl Champions - The Missing Rings

The Missing Rings

A spinoff series, America's Game: The Missing Rings, debuted on September 18, 2008 and aired for five consecutive Thursdays after that, starting at 10 p.m. ET. In this series, the producers picked five teams that did not win the Super Bowl and devoted an hour to each of them. The basic format of the show was the same. However, it should be noted that the theme song cut off abruptly before the show started, symbolizing the unfinished goals of the teams being profiled. The teams chronicled were the 1998 and 1969 Minnesota Vikings, the 1988 Cincinnati Bengals, the 1981 San Diego Chargers, and the 1990 Buffalo Bills.

Famous quotes containing the words missing and/or rings:

Teenage girls are extremists who see the world in black-and- white terms, missing shades of gray. Life is either marvelous or not worth living. School is either pure torment or is going fantastically. Other people are either great or horrible, and they themselves are wonderful or pathetic failures. One day a girl will refer to herself as “the goddess of social life” and the next day she’ll regret that she’s the “ultimate in nerdosity.”
    Mary Pipher (20th century)

    You held my hand
    and were instant to explain
    the three rings of danger.
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)
