Despite the fees of $11,000 per semester, AUS does not rank in the top 400 universities globally as rated by Times Higher Education, and nor does it rank in the top 500 universities rated by the Academic Ranking of World Universities. However, on the 2012 Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings, AUS appeared on the 401-450 bracket out of global 2,500 institutions.
