The track labeling is this way it is because of the album's first release (1978) as an LP, and so the first track means "first track, first side", and so on.
The CD pressing adds 30 seconds of silence after every song, including one after "2/2" has completed.
The album's back cover features four abstract graphic notation images, one for each track.

Famous quotes containing the word track:
“Commit a crime and the world is made of glass. Commit a crime, and it seems as if a coat of snow fell on the ground, such as reveals in the woods the track of every partridge and fox and squirrel and mole.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
