Alistair Carmichael
Alexander Morrison "Alistair" Carmichael (born 15 July 1965) is a Liberal Democrat politician. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Scottish seat of Orkney and Shetland since the 2001 general election.
He is the Deputy Leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats, chief whip of the Liberal Democrats, and Deputy Chief Whip (Comptroller of HM Household) of the UK Government Coalition.
