Alfredo Ferrari - Career at Ferrari

Career At Ferrari

Enzo would often refer to his son among his colleagues as "my technical son". In Alfredo's short career at Ferrari, he was widely credited for the 750 Monza racing car and to a limited extent a 1.5-litre V6 that would later see action in Ferrari's early Formula racers. Alfredo suggested to Enzo Ferrari the development of a 1.5 L DOHC V6 engine for F2 at the end of 1955. To honor his son, Enzo named the V-6 engine series of road and racing cars after him.

Famous quotes containing the word career:

I began my editorial career with the presidency of Mr. Adams, and my principal object was to render his administration all the assistance in my power. I flattered myself with the hope of accompanying him through [his] voyage, and of partaking in a trifling degree, of the glory of the enterprise; but he suddenly tacked about, and I could follow him no longer. I therefore waited for the first opportunity to haul down my sails.
    William Cobbett (1762–1835)
