Alice Lord played by Toni Palmer, was a family friend of Tanya Branning and her sister Rainie. When they were children they would call her "Auntie Alice", although she was not related to them. She lived on the same housing estate as the sisters, and appeared when Tanya tried to get in contact with Rainie, telling Tanya that Rainie had many men visiting her flat.
