Alan H. Monroe (April 22, 1903 - January 26, 1975) was a professor at Purdue University in the 1930s. He is best known for creating Monroe's motivated sequence, a structure for persuasive speeches based on the psychology of persuasion. Monroe's method is still used effectively today.
