Meridiana Africa Airlines (Uganda) Limited, trading as Air Uganda, is a privately owned airline founded in 2007 in Uganda; it is largely recognized as the national carrier, following the collapse of Uganda Airlines in May 2001. Headquartered in Kampala, and with its operations base at Entebbe International Airport, Air Uganda uses a fleet of four aircraft to operate scheduled flights from Entebbe to various countries in Eastern and Central Africa.
