Air Line

An air line is a tube that carries a compressed air supply, e.g. to inflate tyres or power compressed-air tools. Air line is most commonly used for suppling compressed air to air tools in workshops and in air brake systems on larger vehicles. The most common sizes of air tubing are one quarter inch and three eights inch outside diameter tubing although a complete range of tubing in both standard and metric sizes is available. Air lines are also used for diving where s compressor or a hand-powered air pump supplies air to a diver.

Famous quotes containing the words air and/or line:

    Only the gaunt fierce bird
    Flies, merciless with fear
    Lest air hold him not,
Beats up the scaffold of space
    Sick of the world’s rot
    God’s hideous face.
    Allen Tate (1899–1979)

This is something that I cannot get over—that a whole line could be written by half a man, that a work could be built on the quicksand of a character.
    Karl Kraus (1874–1936)
