Political Career

It was after the unfortunate assassination of his elder brother Hayat Sherpao in a bomb blast in 1975 that Aftab jumped into the political arena. Famous quotes containing the words political career, political and/or career:

He knows nothing and thinks he knows everything. That points clearly to a political career.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)

Political life at Washington is like political life in a suburban vestry.
    Oscar Wilde (1854–1900)

What exacerbates the strain in the working class is the absence of money to pay for services they need, economic insecurity, poor daycare, and lack of dignity and boredom in each partner’s job. But the tug between traditional and egalitarian models of marriage runs from top to bottom of the class ladder.
    Arlie Hochschild (20th century)
