Affliction (Star Trek: Enterprise) - Plot

Plot

The Enterprise returns to Earth to take part in the maiden launch of the newest NX class ship, Columbia, captained by Erika Hernandez. Shortly after taking shore leave with the others, Dr. Phlox is kidnapped and taken to a secret Klingon research facility. The Klingon Empire needs Phlox's help to stop a disease. It is stated that the virus is the worst threat to the Klingon Empire since the Hur'q invasion. Captain Archer sets out to find Phlox with few clues to go on, but is obstructed by his own Security Chief, Lt. Malcolm Reed (due to his secret connection to a special part of Starfleet Security). Meanwhile, Commander Tucker, having transferred off of Enterprise over emotional turmoil from his relationship with Sub-commander T'Pol, settles into his new life as Columbia's Chief Engineer.

Famous quotes containing the word plot:

“The plot thickens,” he said, as I entered.
    Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859–1930)

After I discovered the real life of mothers bore little resemblance to the plot outlined in most of the books and articles I’d read, I started relying on the expert advice of other mothers—especially those with sons a few years older than mine. This great body of knowledge is essentially an oral history, because anyone engaged in motherhood on a daily basis has no time to write an advice book about it.
    Mary Kay Blakely (20th century)

The plot was most interesting. It belonged to no particular age, people, or country, and was perhaps the more delightful on that account, as nobody’s previous information could afford the remotest glimmering of what would ever come of it.
    Charles Dickens (1812–1870)
