Adua Class Submarine
The Italian Adua-class submarine was the fourth subclass of the 600 Series of coastal submarines of the Regia Marina that served during World War II.
There were 17 submarines in this class, almost all named after places in Ethiopia which had been an Italian colony since 1936, but only one, Alagi survived through World War II.

Famous quotes containing the word class:
“During the long ages of class rule, which are just beginning to cease, only one form of sovereignty has been assigned to all menthat, namely, over all women. Upon these feeble and inferior companions all men were permitted to avenge the indignities they suffered from so many men to whom they were forced to submit.”
—Mary Putnam Jacobi (18421906)
