Adrian Waller (born in West Wickham, Greater London, England, on June 17, 1936), was a magazine journalist and author. In his 46-year writing career on three continents he earned a living from 10 published books, nearly 600 articles in such magazines as Time and Reader's Digest, and from numerous newspaper columns that appeared in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Japan, where, from 1989 until 1993 he was senior editor of The Japan Times Weekly.
As a magazine journalist Waller covered a wide spectrum of important topics and wrote profiles of hundreds of famous people, including the tenors Luciano Pavarotti and Jon Vickers, popular singers Paul Anka, Hank Snow, and Wilf Carter, actors Kate Reid and Donald Sutherland, orchestra conductors Charles Dutoit and Seiji Ozawa, movie director Norman Jewison, bandleader Guy Lombardo, and the portrait photographer Yousuf Karsh.
Waller was also an actor, theatre director, and opera tenor, having sung with the Canadian Opera Company during its 1965 season, given numerous concerts both "live" and on CBC radio, and recorded two LPs, Adrian Waller Sings and A World of Song, both released by Alied Records of Toronto in the late 1960s.
