His first daughter, Myla Niamh was born in August 2009. In 2011, within a few days after winning the world championship, he broke up with his girlfriend. He supports his local football team Stoke City. In August 2012 he married his girlfriend Sarah, and in December of the same year she gave birth to their son Matthew.
