Population
The 2002 national census estimated the district population at about 201,500 people, of whom 49.6% were male and 50.4% were female. The annual population growth rate in the district was estimated at 6.3%. It is estimated that the population of Adjumani District in 2009 was approximately 309,000. See table below:
