Famous quotes containing the word trivial:
“My weakness has always been to prefer the large intention of an unskilful artist to the trivial intention of an accomplished one: in other words, I am more interested in the high ideas of a feeble executant than in the high execution of a feeble thinker.”
—Thomas Hardy (1840–1928)
“The elixir of life, the philosopher’s stone
is yours if you surrender
sterile logic, trivial reason.”
—Hilda Doolittle (1886–1961)
“I could be content that we might procreate like trees, without conjunction, or that there were any way to perpetuate the world without this trivial and vulgar way of coition.”
—Thomas Browne (1605–1682)
