Adam Derek Scott (born 16 July 1980) is an Australian professional golfer who plays mainly on the PGA Tour. On 7 January 2007, he reached a career high Official World Golf Ranking of third with a second place finish at the Mercedes-Benz Championship. He has been ranked inside the top 10 for over 220 weeks in his career. Scott has won 18 tournaments around the world, on a number of golf's major tours. His biggest wins of his career so far have been at the 2004 Players Championship and the 2011 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. In 2012, Scott led The Open Championship by four strokes with four holes to play, but bogeyed them all, losing by a single stroke to Ernie Els.
