ABQ RIDE - Service

Service

The ABQ RIDE system includes regular service routes on most of the city's major streets as well as commuter routes that ferry workers between residential areas and the city center. Many routes terminate at the Alvarado Transportation Center downtown, where riders can connect to the New Mexico Rail Runner Express and other intercity modes of transportation. ABQ RIDE also operates the Rapid Ride BRT service and a circulator route for Downtown Albuquerque.

ABQ Ride service for most routes begins at 6 am and a few routes running along the main corridors of the city don't complete their service until around 10:30 pm. A notable exception is the route 66 bus that runs until approximately midnight on Weekday and Saturday evenings.

In addition to its fixed route services, ABQ RIDE also operates a paratransit service called SunVan (known as Mini Ride from 2003–2006) that runs curb-to-curb service.

Famous quotes containing the word service:

It’s 10 p.m. Do you know where your children are?
    —Public Service Announcement.

Night City was like a deranged experiment in Social Darwinism, designed by a bored researcher who kept one thumb permanently on the fast-forward button. Stop hustling and you sank without a trace, but move a little too swiftly and you’d break the fragile surface tension of the black market; either way, you were gone ... though heart or lungs or kidneys might survive in the service of some stranger with New Yen for the clinic tanks.
    William Gibson (b. 1948)

Television could perform a great service in mass education, but there’s no indication its sponsors have anything like this on their minds.
    Tallulah Bankhead (1903–1968)
