The A478 road is a major route in the Welsh counties of Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, connecting Cardigan (junction with the A487 road) and Tenby.

- — crosses the county boundary to Pembrokeshire
- Pen-y-Bryn;

- — crosses the county boundary to Carmarthenshire
- Efailwen;
- — re-crosses the county boundary to Pembrokeshire
- Llandissilio;
- — until around 2001 at this point the road re-crossed the county boundary to Carmarthenshire to between Clynderwen and the A40, but now after local government boundary changes it stays wholly in Pembrokeshire
- Clynderwen and Clynderwen railway station;
- — crosses the A40 road;
- Narberth;
- Templeton;
- Begelly;
- — crosses the A477 road;
- Pentlepoir;
- Wooden;
- Moreton;
- New Hedges;
- Tenby.
