2nd/14th Light Horse Regiment
The 2nd/14th Light Horse Regiment (Queensland Mounted Infantry) is a regiment of the Australian Army and forms part of the Royal Australian Armoured Corps. The regiment was formed in 1952 though sentimentally traces its lineage to 1860. Consequently, there was a claim that it was the oldest Australian Regular Army unit through the antecedent units 2nd Moreton Light Horse (QMI) and the 14th West Moreton Light Horse (QMI) and celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2010. It is equipped with ASLAV vehicles used in the armoured reconnaissance role. The regiment is assigned to 7th Brigade based in Brisbane.

and my teeth melt but the greenery hisses on.

and the green slips out like a bracelet.
Couldnt one of my keepers get a lawn mower
and chop it down if I turned inside out for an hour?”
—Anne Sexton (19281974)
“The horseman on the pale horse is Pestilence. He follows the wars.”
—Ardel Wray, and Mark Robson. Explaining why he is taking pains to protect his troops from plague (1945)
“Christians would show sense if they dispatched these argumentative Scotists and pigheaded Ockhamists and undefeated Albertists along with the whole regiment of Sophists to fight the Turks and Saracens instead of sending those armies of dull-witted soldiers with whom theyve long been carrying on war with no result.”
—Desiderius Erasmus (c. 14661536)
