Synthesis of FDCA
Methods for the synthesis of the FDCA may be divided into four groups:
- Dehydration of hexose derivatives
- Oxidation of 2,5-disubstituted furans
- Catalytic conversions of various furan derivatives
- Biological conversion of HMF
