The 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens, held at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Russia, was the sixth edition of the Rugby World Cup Sevens. The International Rugby Board (IRB) has stated that the Rugby World Cup Sevens will be scrapped if rugby sevens were to be included in the Olympic programme for the 2016 Summer Olympics. As the International Olympic Committee have voted for the sport's inclusion, this was thought likely to be the last edition of the tournament. However, the IRB clarified that in June 2013, the tournament will be retained and held quadrennially from 2018.

Famous quotes containing the words world, cup and/or sevens:
“In this world theres room for everyone, and the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned mens souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goosestepped us into misery and bloodshed.”
—Charlie Chaplin (18891977)
“There is not enough exercise in this way of life. I try to make up by active gymnastics before I dress when I get up, by walking rapidly in the lower hall and the greenhouse after each meal for perhaps five to ten minutes, and a good hand rubbing before going to bed. I eat moderately; drink one cup of coffee at breakfast and one cup of tea at lunch and no other stimulant. My health is now, and usually, excellent.”
—Rutherford Birchard Hayes (18221893)
“See,
how they trace
across the very-marble
of this place,
bright sevens and printed fours,
elevens and careful eights....”
—Hilda Doolittle (18861961)
