Famous quotes containing the words division, men and/or ice:

Don’t order any black things. Rejoice in his memory; and be radiant: leave grief to the children. Wear violet and purple.... Be patient with the poor people who will snivel: they don’t know; and they think they will live for ever, which makes death a division instead of a bond.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)

Most men I do not meet at all, for they seem not to have time; they are busy about their beans.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

Goodness and evil never share the same road, just as ice and charcoal never share the same container.
    Chinese proverb.
